You have the right to play and rest

According to the Convention on the Rights of the Child, every child has the right to play, rest and enjoy leisure time. Play is very important for children and helps them learn many new skills! You also have the right to rest when you need it and to spend your free time in ways that make you happy.

What does this mean?

All children should have access to a variety of hobbies. You have the right to play on your own or with your parents or friends, and when you feel tired, you have the right to rest. At school, you can rest during break times.

If you would like your parents to play with you, you could remind them playfully about the Convention on the Rights of the Child and your right to play.
