Questions and answers guidelines
On the Children’s Rights for Children website, you can ask questions from children’s rights experts and browse questions and answers submitted by others.
Please read these guidelines before sending us your question.
Guidelines
Your question will be answered by a children’s rights expert who is familiar with the topic of your question. The expert may be, for example, a lawyer, a specialist in child protection or child and family policy, or a member of the Children’s Rights Communications Network.
Our experts aim to answer as many questions as possible within one month. Your answer will be published on the Children’s Rights for Children website. We do not respond to inappropriate questions or questions that are not related to children’s rights. We may also share selected questions and answers published on the website through our social media channels.
We may edit questions before publication by shortening them, or we may decide not to publish a question if a similar one has already been asked. We may also combine similar questions and answer them together.
When you send us a question, we ask for your first name and age. This helps our experts provide an answer that is appropriate for you and your age group. Your first name and age will be published so that visitors to the website can see the intended age group of the answer and better understand its context. You may use only your first name or choose a nickname that does not reveal your identity.
Please do not include personal information such as your full name, hometown, or any other details that could be used to identify you. We may edit published questions if they contain information that could reveal your identity or if they include inappropriate or sensitive content.
