Every child has the right to a good life

Human rights are rights that belong to all people. Children’s rights are children’s own human rights. They belong to every child and young person under the age of 18.

Children’s rights help ensure that every child can live a safe, good, and happy life. These rights are based on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, which entered into force in Finland in 1991. On this Children’s Rights for Children website, you can learn more about your rights.
